Nice is captivating regardless of the season of the year, every street, corner, detail, enchants. Walking through Vieux Nice – the medieval area of the Old Town -, by the mysterious alleyways, makes you go back in time, especially at night. The city is colorful (shades of pink and ocher all over) and has that French Riviera atmosphere with an Italian touch, which is understandable since it’s very close to the Italian border and belonged to Italy for a while.

Summer is the high season, but during the winter you can still catch a pretty damn beautiful sunset on the beach, the sun setting on the Meditteranean Sea is breathtaking at any time. The city is the second most visited in France (after Paris) but don’t expect to see crowds during the winter; the streets are calm, you have them all to yourself. Regardless of the cold weather, its charm remains intact.
