Pictures to inspire you to visit Malta (even in the winter)

Marina in the Three Cities in Malta

Malta is known for being a European summer destination, its natural beauty attracts visitors from all over the world. I visited Malta for the first time in the low season, during the winter (February), and it was worth it anyway. The Maltese Islands are beautiful, regardless of the season. Its attractions go beyond the beaches and the water sports. Malta is filled with historical sites, beautiful walled cities, breathtaking landscapes, delicious cuisine, and fine wine scene. You can enjoy it all even during the winter!

That was the focus of the trip, enjoy what the islands have to offer beyond the typical summer activities. The winter in Malta is mild – compared to other European countries -, the sun shines, and sometimes wearing a coat during the day is not even necessary. It’s when the night comes that you remember that it’s winter season. If you are in doubt about visiting the Maltese Islands during the low season, I hope the pictures below convince you that it’s still worth it.
