Photos to inspire you to visit Nice in the winter

Fontaine du Soleil in Nice

Nice is captivating regardless of the season of the year, every street, corner, detail, enchants. Walking through the alleyways of the Vieux Nice (the old town area) makes you go back in time, especially at night. The city is colorful (shades of pink and ochre all over) and has that French Riviera atmosphere with an Italian touch – which is understandable since it’s very close to the Italian border and belonged to Italy for a while.

Summer is the high season, but during the winter you can still catch a pretty damn beautiful sunset on the beach, the sun setting on the Meditteranean Sea is breathtaking no matter what. The city is the second most visited in France (after Paris) but don’t expect to see crowds of people walking around during the winter; the streets are calm, you have them all to yourself. But despite of the cold weather, the charm of Nice remains intact and you can still have a good time.

Nice is so cute! If you get the chance to visit it – even during the winter – just go. Every place has something good to offer regardless of the season of the year (the landscapes, the food, anything). But if you are planning a trip to enjoy the beaches in the French Riviera then you better go during the summer. I would definitely come back to see all the fuss during the high season.
