Amsterdam in black & white pictures

Canals and bridges in Amsterdam

I visited Amsterdam for the first time in the winter of 2016 (beginning of March), and I was amazed, the city got my heart pretty fast. It’s beautiful (even on a rainy day), it’s alive (people everywhere), it’s full of stuff to do (can’t get bored), and it has a lot of history (from historic brown buildings to museums). Not to mention the variety of restaurants and bars, a great place for food-enthusiasts!

I love cities with canals; they are so charming and photogenic, and Amsterdam is a gem. Canals, bridges, the iconic houses, bikes everywhere – completing the scene -, and nature. I guess all these elements together makes it easier to take a good photo, right? The pictures below were taken during my first time in the city, and I think they represent very well the vision of a person that is seeing Amsterdam for the first time. They are all in black and white just to get and extra-poetic touch.
