Hey! I’m Kalinka, Brazilian by born, Italian by blood and New Yorker by heart. I was born and raised in Brazil, and I left the country for the first time in 2012 when I moved to New York City. It was my first experience abroad, and after that, I didn’t want to stop exploring the world anymore.
I’m currently living Lisbon, trying to discover all that the old continent is about, and I still have a lot to cover. I consider myself a person with two homes since I’m always flying back to Brazil. When I can’t hit the road, I explore my city, the thirst for discovering new spots follows me everywhere.
I have a thing for natural destinations; I guess my dad’s obsession with Discovery Channel and NatGeo is the reason. I spent so much time watching all types of shows about wild places that my taste for natural destinations developed over the years.
But I love the cities as well, I like what they have to offer: Restaurants, bars, museums, architecture, music, fairs, festivals. I enjoy the food in special, when I go to a new city, I research what I can eat in there, that’s a big motivator for me. I love to eat my way around the world. Maybe I’m a foodie, or a food lover, or just a “person that is hungry all the time.”
Also, I enjoy historical and mystical cities, you know, those cities that are all around our history books but don’t seem quite real. It’s insane to think that those old sites actually exist, so many histories behind them. My bucket list is quite big, just the whole world!
I created the blog because of a will of sharing my stories and travel experiences around the world, what I’ve seen so far. But also to keep all my sweet memories and photos all together. I hope you find them inspiring and useful. Be welcome and Let’s Cross The World!
